The Quilting Connection proudly sells, services, and uses Handi Quilter longarm machines.

We’ve tried other brand names over the years, but found Handi Quilter provides the quality, support, selection, technology, and education that matches our philosophy as a longarm distributor.

In fact, this match in philosophy has allowed us to earn Handi Quilter’s HQ Way Award 15 years in a row!

The HQ Way Award recognizes our efforts to devote time, staff and resources to provide best-in-class longarm education, training and machine servicing. Handi Quilter believes it shows our level of commitment to you, our local quilt community, and ensures our shop becomes a valuable resource to you, our local quilters.

Some of the criteria we must meet to earn the HQ Way Award includes:

• attending Handi Quilter’s Retailer Training in Utah,
• providing an HQ factory-trained technician in our service department,

Education

Our number one objective is to provide our customers with the best longarm quilting education possible.

We offer many in-person training opportunities, but we also know that not everyone can attend for a variety of reasons. Therefore, we also offer classes via Zoom and topic specific information via YouTube.

Our classes are taught by experienced, trained staff members, award-winning local longarm quilters, and nationally known, Handi Quilter trained educators.

We also ensure our training meets your specific needs. Whether you’re new to longarm quilting or an experienced quilter wanting to improve your skills, we’ll sync our training to your level.

If you’ve bought a Handi-Quilter system through us, you’re also invited to take the machine owner training as many times as you wish. We know there’s a lot to learn so feel free to come back for a refresher!

Innovation

Anyone who has bought one of our machines or rents time on our longarms knows that we use the Quick Zip System™ for loading our quilts. Other distributors use it too!

But did you know that The Quilting Connection, or more specifically my mom, Sue Schmeiden, developed that effective zipper system?

Rather than having to spend your valuable time pinning your quilt backs and tops to the leaders of your longarm machine, the Quick Zip System provides a quicker and easier way to load your quilts. And if you rent time on our machines, that’s prep work that can be done at home before you come in.

Rental Options

Speaking of renting time on our machines, what better way for YOU to complete your quilting project? We know that not everyone can or wants to own a longarm. But we also know that many quilters want to be able to complete their quilts from start to finish.

We can help you with that!

Once you take our beginner rental class, you can schedule a day and time to come in and complete your quilt. You also choose the method of quilting you’ll use: computerized (Pro-Stitcher), pantographs, or free motion.

Our helpful and knowledgeable staff will assist you in loading your quilt on the frame, getting set up to quilt, and completing the quilting. You can even sew on the binding if you have it ready!

And you’ll never be left on your own or hidden in a back corner. Our machines fill our shop floor, and our staff is right there to help as needed. They also handle all the setup and running of the computerized Pro-Stitcher if that’s how you want to quilt.

When you rent time on our longarm machines, you pay only for the actual time you use as well as a small fee to cover the thread cost. You also have the option of buying batting from us.

We encourage you to participate as fully as possible in the quilting process. Our goal? That you have fun longarm quilting and feel accomplished with your results!

Purchasing a Handi Quilter

If you are in the market to purchase a longarm quilting machine, The Quilting Connection wants to be your retailer!

We strive to provide you with the best price possible. While our website lists the manufacturer’s standard retail price for each machine, we always honor our Show Price. Please call us or stop by one of our locations to make sure you really know the best price we can offer.

Plus, there’s usually a special running that you can take advantage of. And we offer a 12-month, same as cash, zero percent finance option as well.

Another huge advantage of buying through us is that we offer in-home delivery and installation. We make sure your system is set up correctly and functioning properly before we leave, and we provide some initial in-home training as well.
